Sky HD reduced to £150
BSkyB has decided to reduce the price of its HD box to £150 from 1 July - the same as a standard Sky Plus box.

The new price is believed to be related to the launch of Freesat, the free-to-air satellite platform launched jointly by ITV and the BBC on May 5, and the need for Sky to be more competitive in the face of increasing competition.

However, Sky has made its HD box cheaper, package prices remain the same, with an extra £10 required to receive HD channels.

The new £150 price for HD will be available to new and existing customers.
