Toshiba announces Regza CV HDTV series
Toshiba has announced its new Toshiba Regza CV series of LCD HDTVs, which will replace their C series.

The CV series is designed for customers who want to upgrade to HDTV from an existing high specification CRT or older analog LCD TV. Although the company hasn’t revealed the price of the new sets, it is likely to be competitive in order to appeal to this group of consumers.

The Toshiba CV Series will be available from March. Three different sizes will be available - 32-inch, 37-inch and 42-inch. All of the sets will be HD ready, and feature 1366×768 pixel screen resolution, with a dynamic contrast ratio of up to 30,000:1.

The slimline sets come in a black gloss finish, with both analog and digital tuners, with audio description features and three HDMI inputs.

The new series features Toshiba’s Active Vision LCD Picture Processing, which provides improved picture colour, movement, detail and contrast.

The sets will also include a special Game Mode, which provides a dedicated channel between console and screen, improving response times for gamers.
