Samsung HL-T6189S DLP TV
The Samsung HL-T6189S LED light-engine along with its Full HD picture, will definitely last for a long time. The ultra-thin, piano-black bezel of this 61-inch behemoth allows users to enjoy videos to the max. Its 1920 x 1080p resolution is something that any videophiles would love. Its slim depth, light weight and hidden speaker system allow the set to be fitted through any corner of your home entertainment room.
The HL-T6189S features include Samsung’s Cinema Smooth light engine that delivers the widest range of brilliant colors. It also has a 10,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio that renders every picture in perfect detail. From the darkest darks to brightest whites, and every tone in between, the Samsung HL-T6189S delivers these details brilliantly.
Three HDMI inputs in version 1.3 render your digital movies, photos and more with greater color depth, while a USB 2.0 port and other inputs allow high-speed connectivity. CEC capability lets you control other peripherals using one remote; the set can also interface with other devices via Bluetooth technology. Game Mode optimizes performance, so avid gamers will marvel at the lifelike action.
Samsung did a great job in displaying pictures. Its built-in analog tuners allow you to connect with an RF signal cable directly to the set and watch TV right out of the box. The integrated ATSC tuner or clear QAM picks up high definition programs broadcast over the air or through cable.
HDMI inputs mean you have access to the most current video technology available, and component, composite and S-video inputs allow you to connect your older components. The HLT6189 is also Bluetooth compatible. If you have a Bluetooth camcorder, gaming system, or other AV component, enjoy wireless connectivity with the simplicity of Bluetooth.
Picture-in-Picture (PIP) gives you convenient simultaneous viewing of TV and video or PC sources. And you can adjust the picture format size to suit your wishes. Enjoy all your 4:3 aspect ratio programming in smooth, wide-screen without black bars.
Incandescent bulbs have been rejected in place of perfected LED (Light Emitting Diode) lighting. Samsung utilizes this technology for their rear projection televisions. Benefits of this technology are very evident as LED lasts longer than bulbs so you don’t have to change it ever so often.
The HLT6189’s wide screen aspect ratio means your screen is filled with DVD and HDTV images which are increasingly available and presented in wide screen formats. The Digital Natural Image engine (DNIe) makes the sharpest and clearest images possible, regardless of the profile of input signals.
Five image processors and a six-times density enhancer ensure the best picture from any source. DNIe guarantees the truest colors and highest contrast, while virtually eliminating digital artifacts.
With this set, Samsung also addresses video gamers’ needs. The HL-T6189S features a game mode and 3D HD compatibility. Game mode enhances dark areas, sharpens the picture, speeds up the image processing response, and enhances the sounds of your games. Picture and sound quality are optimized for the special needs of gaming systems at the touch of a button. With an eye toward the future, Samsung also built in 3D HD ready capability. The HLT6189 is capable of displaying future 3D games, movies, and other programming via 3D compatible glasses and hardware.
Along with this great video technology, the HLT6189 also includes a brilliant audio technology. The two 10-watt speakers are boosted with SRS TruSurround XT, a patented technology that solves the problem of playing 5.1 multichannel content over two speakers. TruSurround delivers a compelling, virtual surround sound experience through any two-speaker playback system, including internal television speakers and headphones. It is fully compatible with all multichannel formats up to 6.1 channels.
