mitsubishi-lt-46244-1.jpgFeaturing a variety of color-enhancing technologies, the new Panasonic LT46244 will have you seeing video like never before. Mitsubishi’s Full Spectrum Color included in the LT46244 results in 25% more color than standard LCD. Reds and yellows become brighter and more vivid, and there are more available shades of green, cyan, and blue.

Bringing you the absolute best in connectivity and connectibility, Mitsubishi’s LT46244 features 4 HDMI connections. HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface) is the only interface in consumer electronics that can carry both uncompressed high-definition (HD) video and uncompressed multi-channel audio in all HD formats including 720p, 1080i and even 1080p.

Your incoming media content comes in a variety of sizes, resolutions and formats, and with that in mind, HDMI systems automatically configure to display that content in the most effective format. Since HDMI carries all channels on video and audio, there is only one cable to plug into any HDMI-enabled source and display device. No more complicated cable set-up when installing your home theater system, and no more ugly cable mess behind your components. HDMI supports standard, enhanced, or high-definition video, plus multi-channel digital audio on this single cable. Also, HDMI is fully backward-compatible with DVI.

First, as the new standard in high definition color, the x.v.Color Wide Color Palette enables up to 80% more color than standard HDTV for breathtaking realism and vivid, natural colors.

Mitsubishi also uses a wider range of phosphors in its backlight system for a richer, fuller spectrum of colors. To fully utilize this added color range, Mitsubishi also recalibrated its color and brightness settings. The resulting picture quality adds realism to yellow sunlight, blue skies and crimson sunsets.

Your new LT46244 has a deep interest in superb color performance. Deep Color creates smooth transitions between different shades and eliminates color bands and complements x.v.Color’s wide color pallet. Enabled by HDMI 1.3, Deep Color goes beyond previous 8-bit HDTV.

The LT46244’s 4D Video Noise Reduction adds an extra dimension to picture performance. Advanced algorithms filter video noise more efficiently yielding clean, crisp images.

The new LT46244 comes equipped with three advanced video processing technologies. First, Plush1080p. HDTVs can display any video signal. For a 1080p HDTV, even the high quality 720p and 1080i HDTV signals being broadcast need to be reformatted in order to fill the TV screen with a sharp, clear picture.

Second, Tru1080p processing, which keeps your signal the way it was meant to be seen. Mitsubishi’s Tru1080p Processing maintains 1080p high definition signals as 1080p from beginning to end.

Finally, SharpEdge is the latest in Mitsubishi’s edge-definition signal processing system. It enhances horizontal and vertical edges for stunning picture precision. SharpEdge senses the vertical boundary and amplifies it while minimizing distortion. The end result is crisp and sharp edges.
