Consumer electronics company, LG Electronics Inc, has announced the 47LG75 LED-backlit LCD TV. The full HD 47-inch set has an ultra-slim frame with hidden speakers.

Details are a little thin on the ground at the moment, but the set features 1080p support, high contrast ratio, automatic brightness and colour optimising technologies, to provide true to life picture quality.

LG’s second new offering is the 52-inch 52LG71 LCD TV, the world’s first 1080p LCD with an integrated 802.11 Wireless System, capable of HD streaming.

The set is designed for simple installation, without the need for unsightly wiring.

Both of the products were honoured in the CES (Consumer Electronics Association) 2008 Innovations Awards.
