Sharp intros 22, 26, 32 inch Aquos TVs

Sharp has extended its Aquos range of full high definition LCD TVs, with 22, 26 and 32 inch sets. The 22- and 26-inch models are the first LCD TVs to support full HD resolution in these screen sizes.
The 22 and 26 inch models have a contrast ratio of 1,200:1, while the 32 inch set has a 2,000:1 contrast ratio. The brightness on all models is 400cd/m2. Other features include built-in digital tuner and picture-in-picture capability.
Sharp is targeting the sets at the market for second TVs and also TVs that can be used as PC monitors. All three sets can connect to a PC via a range of analogue and digital connectors. There is room to store a keyboard in the base of the stand.
The sets, which all come in white, are available now in Japan, with the US release slated for November. The UK release date is yet to be announced. The 22-inch set is priced at £768, the 26-inch £854 and the 32-inch £1,025.
