lg-60py3d-1.jpgLG has added a brand new plasma to it’s high end PY3D series. The 60-inch LG 60PY3D. This high-end 60-inch plasma features the latest 1080p / full HD panel with a 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution. So, you can watch your favorite programs in HD with the deep blacks and vibrant colors that plasma televisions are known for. The native 1920 x 1080p resolution on the 60PY3D provides the most detailed resolution currently possible. Three HDMI connections mean you can hook up to your high-tech components and enjoy HD audio and video through a single cable. LG’s proprietary features like the XD Engine, SimpLink, and image sticking minimization make life with this 60″ plasma screen even better.

The 60PY3D already provides the convenience and future proofing of HDMI. It also adds LG SimpLink technology so all your LG products can work together that much more easily. SimpLink allows for convenient control of other LG SimpLink products using the existing HDMI connection. So your LG television can talk to your LG Blu-ray Disc player with minimal involvement from you.

Six distinct processes contribute to picture improvement. But whats important to know is that LG’s XD Engine takes the low resolution of analog signals to near HD levels by improving brightness, contrast, and detail. It also reduces signal noise, which is a common trouble-maker for image quality. Since this technology attacks both aspects of analog signal issues, the overall result is cinema-like high resolution images on your 1920 x 1080p plasma screen.

LG isn’t going to let ghost images burn onto your plasma screen that easily. That’s why they invented Image Sticking Minimization — it provides protective measures to minimize damage as a result of stationary images. That is ten times as fast. But it doesn’t matter — just sit back, relax, and let the TV take care of everything.

Of course, LG has included a Dolby Digital Decoder and SRS TruSurround XT so that your plasma sounds as great as it looks. You can also manually adjust the bass, balance and treble to tweak and fine-tune your audio experience to your specific liking. You can also choose between Mono, Stereo, and SAP.

SAP is great because it allows you to hear audio in Spanish, which is perfect if you are in a bilingual home, or studying a Spanish as a second language (only applies to certain channels that broadcast for SAP).
