samsung-fp-t5084-2.jpgSamsung’s 50-inch FPT5084 offers full HD 1080p resolution. It features a lot of good stuff that has been a staple in Samsung Televisions. The set is equipped with 18-bit processing so users will enjoy dazzling colors, a 15,000:1 contrast ratio to reveal the deepest blacks, the whitest whites, and every detail in between. Samsung’s powerful anti-burn-in technology assures a long screen life. SRS TruSurround XT technology and 10-watt per channel audio amplifiers deliver sound through bottom speakers. Furthermore, you can connect your digital devices to the 3 HDMI ports, one on the side, and take advantage of the full complement of audio and video inputs, including one for your PC.

The FPT5084 is ready for you to connect your most cherished home theater components. With three HDMI connections, you can hook up multiple components that are compatible with this one-cable, high-definition multimedia interface. With an HDMI-CEC connection, peripheral devices such as a DVD player can be controlled by TV remote control. Side A/V ports provide an easy connection so you can connect a camcorder, digital camera, or any other digital device with no hassles. There’s also a PC connection, along with a full range of audio and video ports, including Component and S-video.

In bright environments the display quality of conventional plasma TVs can be compromised by external light. Samsung’s FPT5084 boasts a combination of Ultra FilterBright technology, Super Black Panel and Optimal Light Filter to bring you sharp contrast, unbelievable detail and pure clarity in any lighting conditions. Samsung’s patented Ultra FilterBright technology features a pair of powerful internal filters that absorb external light and transmit internal light. This process increases the bright room contrast by 550 percent. The increased bright room contrast helps maintain a sharper image in any light.

samsung-fp-t5084-1.jpgSamsung Plasma TVs feature advanced Anti-Burn technologies to help prevent and even remedy most burn-in and image retention issues. Auto Pixel Shift keeps the images on screen moving imperceptibly so that graphics like a score to a game or a stock ticker are not left stagnant on the screen. Because the images are constantly shifting they’re less likely to damage the screen. If by chance burn-in occurs, Samsung features White Wash to help get rid of burn-in. When White Wash is selected the FPT5084 will become as bright as possible and the screen will be completely white for a certain length of time. When the process is complete the burn-in should be gone.

Whether you’re watching the big game, your favorite show or a nail-biting movie, you’ll enjoy home entertainment like you never have before. That’s because the FPT5084 delivers the clearest expression of natural light possible thanks to a 15,000:1 contrast ratio. That’s nearly twice as high as the average set. A high contrast ratio gives you more steps from black to white for a picture that has a better expression of detail.

Conventional Plasma HDTVs use 10-bit color processing that produces up to 1.07 billion colors. But Samsung has taken HDTV Plasma to the next level with sets that have 18-bit color processing. These technologically advanced color processing methods can produce astonishing natural, true-to-life colors. It also aids in the video signal processing of analog sources to ensure a more natural and vivid picture.

A 10-watt per channel built-in audio amplifier powers the FPT5084’s integrated stereo speakers. This TV also features SRS TruSurround XT. TruSurround is a patented SRS technology that solves the problem of playing 5.1 multichannel content over two speakers. TruSurround delivers a compelling, virtual surround sound experience through the two-speaker internal playback system.
