Panasonic TC-32LX60 32-inch LCD TV

One of the most attractive HDTV sets you can find in the market today is the Panasonic TC-32LX60 32-inch LCD TV. It comes in a stylish black and silver frame with an elegant swivel stand. It has a native resolution of 1,366 x 768 which can display every detail of any material coming from a 720p source. It performs very well, has good image quality and comes at a very affordable price.

The TC-32LX60 comes with a good combination of inputs. The set sports three sets of composite inputs, two at the back and one positioned conveniently at the side for connecting devices such as camcorders. The set also come with a built-in HDTV tuner, so it’s possible to receive over-the-air HDTV without an external set-top box. The downside for this model however, is the single HDMI and component input that it supports. It may be insufficient and could become a limitation for many home entertainment system setups. Lastly, there is an easy-access 1/8-inch headphones jack on the right-side panel of the TV.

The TC-32LX60 also claims of a 178-degree horizontal and vertical viewing angle but users of the set found this to be a little exaggerated. To some, the vertical viewing angle seems narrower than the horizontal viewing angle. If you sit on the far right or the far left, you can still see good, sharp images but when the TV is positioned lower or higher than eye level, that’s when the problem comes in. Pictures get dimmed and become slightly blurry.

As far as performance is concerned, the TC-32LX60 performed well enough to ensure satisfaction in viewing quality. The set performed best in displaying high-definition materials. It reproduces very good color quality and detail. This particular TV comes with 720p and a 3000:1 contrast ratio which creates very attractive deep blacks and clean bright colors. Response time is listed at 14ms but in reality, it is just an 8ms response time.

You can also play around with the controls and setting to get your preferred picture quality. You can tweak the color settings and sharpness quality to get a razor-sharp image. Three useful image presets can also help you in getting the picture quality you want. They have Cinema, which is great for viewing DVD’s and other high-definition content; vivid mode is spectacular for gaming consoles; and standard mode is best for standard-definition programming.

The Panasonic TC-32LX60 is a good balance between affordability and quality. You get a low price for a high quality picture. Other TV’s cheaper than this set could not even compare to its features and performance. If you are a sports fan, a gamer, or just an ordinary guy who likes to watch high-definition movies, then this set will be your new best friend.
