What will we watch on 3D HDTV?
According to an article in the Guardian, High-Definition TVs that offer 3-D images could be with us in the next couple of years.

Consumer electronics manufacturers such as Philips are developing TVs with 3-D technology that make the viewer feel as if they are surrounded by high-definition objects - without the need to wear strange spectacles.

The prototype Philips model could cost a whopping £10,000, but the price should be more achievable by the time the products come to market.

3D technology sends a different image to each eye to create the 3D effect.

The film industry may have to play catch-up with the technology as there are only two 3D films in production at the moment with an expected release date in 2009.
