Samsung HP-S4253 Review

Story link: Samsung HP-S4253 Review by Franz Bicar

Samsung HP-S4253Samsung is one one of the world’s largest electronic company. It is also one of the premier companies to distribute high-end high definition televisions. The Samsung HP-S4253 won’t leave Samsung fans disappointed. It is a 42-inch plasma with a shiny piano-black finish. Although users might hold back on the steep price tag, the TV garnered good ratings in image quality tests.

The HP-S4253 performs well on tests with a particularly high score on DVD reproductions. It has an accurate and bright representation for colors and skin tones and fared well when displaying high definition content.

This Samsung TV doesn’t give us everything we like to see, but it does give us a few extras to make buying this product worthwhile. Example, we get several methods of screen burn-in prevention; integrated SRX surround sound; and a built-in on-screen equalizer for adjusting the sound to your liking. Everyone will find the audio clear and vibrant, and quite loud when appropriate.

Where connectivity is concerned, the HP-S4253 sports two sets of component inputs, one S-Video input, and a VGA input for connecting a PC to the TV. The plasma also includes two HDMI inputs, permitting you to hook up a DVD player and a cable set-top box via their best connections. Audio ports include optical audio-out and digital coaxial-out, as well as three sets of analog outputs.

Overall, the Samsung HP-S4253 is a great product, but it is overshadowed by its steep price tag ($1500 - $2000). There are a lot of TV’s out there with half the price with double the quality and performance. So if you’re tight on cash and desires a good quality HDTV, you might benefit by looking around for other prospects.
