Take the HDTV Plunge
The wait for HDTV may finally be coming to the end. Many consumers have put off investing in the technology. They have preferred to wait out the glitches, the changes, and the costs. With the eventuality of all HDTV all the time lurking ever nearer, it may be that the wait is over.
The glitches are almost gone. Things like burn-in (which occurred on older HDTV sets when the image would burn into the screeb) are virtually non-existent on the newer sets. HDTV channels are popping up like rabbits in the spring. And the color technology has developed to such an extent that few eyes can perceive any problems. Even furniture designers are making cabinets specific to the new HDTV configurations.
HDTV is truly the mainstream option for the optimal viewing experience.
The best reason for getting into HDTV is the cost. The prices have come down (probably as much as they ever will) over the last several years. Finding an affordable 42” HDTV screen is no longer something only for the imagination.
The only problem with going HDTV that still lingers around is the “after costs.” Paying to get the system hooked up, getting the right wiring, and paying for the actual programs are still the most difficult part of the HDTV plunge.
